Course Overview

With research-oriented specializations, in Communication Systems and Communication Electronics, graduates focus on either systematic approaches like signal processing, information theory, and network theory with their practical implementations or hardware implementations and integrated circuits. As a program in English it targets international applicants that will pursue a career in the German economy afterwards or as doctorates in science. The MSc in Communications Engineering from Technical University of Munich is divided into 4 semesters. It offers two core modules in Communications Systems (CS) and Communications Electronics (CE). The Communications Systems module concentrates more on the system aspects of communications technology. The Communications Electronics branch is focused on IC Design and the aspects of hardware implementation. Students also carry out a nine-week research internship at one of the participating institutes and pass an advanced seminar. The program is concluded with the Masters thesis which is completed at one of the participating institutes during the fourth semester.
