Course Overview

This course is based in Culture Lab, our home for creative digital practice. We are a research community at the forefront of thinking about how creative practice can generate new kinds of knowledge. You will learn to work flexibly with open source and emerging technologies and create innovative work. In addition, research methods from experimental design will strengthen your practice. You will also engage with theories of digital art, culture and technology. You will choose your Creative Arts Practice course of study, including: live electronic performance, digital art practice, film making, creative writing, experimental music, creative enterprise, We're in the heart of the city centre campus. The Newcastle University Institute for Creative Arts Practice aggregates the creative critical mass within a world-class research-intensive University. FACILITIES: Culture Lab has excellent equipment and facilities, including: a stock of film cameras, editing suites, CNC fabrication sound-mixing technology, You will be taught by a wide range of successful creative professionals.
