Course Overview
Courses are offered via distance education to accommodate place-bound students interested in the principles and practices of interdisciplinary pest management, including extension agents and other educators; state and federal employees in agricultural, environmental and regulatory positions; consultants; pest control industry personnel; and others who want to further their education. For whom are the programs designed? Place-bound people who want more knowledge in environmental science, biology, or pest management. People taking these courses often work for, or aspire to work for, organizations specializing in urban pest control, landscape maintenance, mosquito control, public health, government regulatory agencies, cooperative extension, plant production, agrichemical industries, and teaching. Degree Requirements are: Thirty credits, including ENY 5006, 5006L, 6166, and 6401; an applied entomology course; a graduate-level ecology course; a biochemistry or molecular entomology course; a statistics course; to include at least 18 credits of ENY/NEM.
