The program exposes students to the interaction and interdependencies of technology with other key elements in healthcare, including HIPAA compliance, JCAHO accreditation, FDA regulations, evidence-based practices, and other organizational issues. This program addresses both areas of clinical informatics and health information systems, with a focus on the integration and interoperability of technology within this total environment. The MHI degree can be completed taking courses in-class, online, or a combination thereof.
