Leibniz University Hannover

Course Overview

Twelve partner universities participate in EULISP. The Institute of Legal Informatics is in charge of the course of studies, which was the first German postgraduate course of studies in this subject area. The duration of the course of study is two semesters.

Students study in Hanover during the first Semester and stay at one of our ten EULISP partner universities during the second. The one-semester stay abroad is a fixed component of the programme of study. The year of study concludes with a graduation ceremony at which the degree certificates are awarded to the graduates. In order to pass a course successfully, the requisite exam must be completed.

All lectures are concluded with exams (as a rule paper-based) and together with the result of the final thesis, their results form the final mark. All partner universities use the ECTS System (European Credit Transfer System) in order to ensure that the results produced during the stay abroad are acknowledged without problems.
