Course Overview
The name of the MSc Management of Non-Governmental Organisations has been changed to MSc NGOs and Development to better reflect the broad scope of the course which focuses on the work of NGOs within development and transition contexts in the areas of advocacy, humanitarian relief, and service delivery. The programme examines the special roles of NGOs and the challenges they encounter, their relationships with other stakeholders (states, inter-governmental organisations, beneficiaries), the internal organisational challenges as well as the changing policy contexts in which NGOs operate. This programme is based in the Department of Social Policy and offers the following benefits: Study in a department which has achieved the highest rating in the UK (5*) for the quality of its research.
