Course Overview
This yearlong cohort program immerses students in the high-intensity field of emergency management, priming them with the strategic and critical thinking skills they need to confidently make decisions, take action, and provide assistance when disaster strikes. Students learn from seasoned emergency management experts through a blend of online courses and on-site intensives, which take them around the world to explore various hazards and understand emerging challenges across diverse environments. Students participate in five, one-week intensives in Shriven, ham and London, England; Livermore, California; New Orleans, Louisiana; and Washington, D. C. , where they gain experience tackling diverse challenges and develop the competencies needed to manage and lead response efforts.
