Course Overview
The Interdisciplinary Faculty of Toxicology (IFT) is composed of faculty from 20 TAMU departments in five colleges and four associated laboratories, and is housed administratively in the Department of Veterinary Physiology & Pharmacology (VTPP). Admission to the toxicology programs requires approval by the IFT admissions committee. Completion of a thesis/dissertation is required for the M.S. or Ph. D. degree in Toxicology. All students are required to complete a core curriculum of courses in toxicology, risk assessment, pharmacology, histology, ethics and statistics. In addition, toxicology electives may be selected from a number of advanced courses providing additional training within these subdisciplines: Regulatory Toxicology & Public Health, Cellular & Molecular Toxicology, Reproductive & Developmental Toxicology, Behavioral & Neurotoxicology, Environmental & Veterinary Toxicology, Applied Toxicology & Food Safety
