Course Overview
Tropical Forestry and Management is an international Master program offered at the Forest Department of the Technische Universitat Dresden. It is offered in the small town of Tharandt near dresden, where in 1811 academic forerstry teaching started. The two-year course altogether comprises 120 credits (ECTS) structured in 3 semester attendance studies and 1 semester elaboration and defense of the Master thesis. The modules offered during second and third semester contain substantial optional proportions allowing the student to identify and follow a particular individual profile. The research plan is prepared to effectively collect and analyze primary data from late third up to early fourth semester. Elaboration and defense of the Master thesis are to complete the course.
