Nursing

Nursing is a field of healthcare which focuses on patient care, improving people’s health and preventing illnesses and injuries. A Master’s in Nursing allows students to manage health-related issues and utilize their knowledge and skills in a professional practice among diverse and multi-cultural populations. Students will learn leadership strategies that foster improvement of healthcare and to articulate ethical issues and responsibilities involved in a nursing practice. Nurses work in various settings, including hospitals, long-term care facilities, public health departments, businesses, public schools and mental health centers. They can also have different roles in health care, education, administration, community and research settings. Common jobs include nurse consultant, research nurse, nurse educator and nurse administrator.
