Special Education

Special education is a form of learning provided to students with exceptional needs, such as students with learning disabilities or mental challenges. A Master’s in Special Education aims to provide individuals, working in educational service providers, with advanced training in academic and behavior management strategies. In other words, to prepare students to be able to work with children and adults with intellectual disabilities, autism, language impairments, behavioral disorders, learning disabilities, visual impairments, orthopedic disabilities, or multiple disabilities. Graduates from Special Education have several career opportunities such as a classroom teacher, adjunct professor or for roles in clinical services.
