Natural Sciences & Mathematics

The Natural Sciences are a family of related fields that are concerned with the understanding and predicting natural phenomena. There are two main branches to the Natural Sciences – the physical sciences, that study non-living systems, and the life sciences, that study living ones. The Natural Sciences use experiment and observation as a basis for their analyses. Although it is distinct from the Natural Sciences, Mathematics – the study of quantities and changes – as “Queen of the Sciences” has a symbiotic relationship with them. Masters degrees in the Natural Sciences and Mathematics both are highly sought-after in a variety of professions – from commercial research and development, to commerce. All of them require numeracy, and an ability to think rationally.
