Industrial Design

Industrial design is the process of creating products and buildings, which are intended for mass-production. Function and form go hand in hand; what something does will decide how it looks. A Masters in Industrial Design (M.A., M.Des., M.Sc. or M.Eng.) will prepare students for a career combining the artistic creativity of design, with the strategic acumen of engineering. Students can specialize in a broad spectrum of design; including architecture, spatial design, transport design, furniture design, or graphic design. As these courses encourages students to experiment and explore their own creative processes through ideas of optimization and efficiency, students usually leave their degree with a vast portfolio of unique designs. Graduates go onto pursue careers in industrial architecture, exhibition curation, gallery design, graphic design, product design, marketing, artists, or automotive industries.
