Taxation

Taxation is more than interpreting and applying legislation. Societies need taxation in order to redistribute wealth and provide for expenditure on public goods and services. Taxation also serves as a tool to influence behavior and is a core area within the broader fields of accounting and law, drawing together concepts from these disciplines and more. A Master’s in Taxation will allow students to not only gain a firm understanding of federal, state, and international taxation, but also how to analyze tax law and communicate their specialized knowledge to other tax and business professionals. Graduates from Taxation degrees are prepared for practicing tax in a law firm, accounting firm, large corporation, government agency and more.
